The only thing we know is that we know (almost) nothing. The only thing we can be certain of is uncertainty.
Be humbled by our ignorance and insignificance without abdicating agency. While we may know almost nothing, we can have relative confidence in some things (the sun will rise tomorrow, a dropped object will fall). While we may be almost powerless and meaningless, we can take some small actions that will have meaningful impact (building a good home that keeps you comfortable and secure). While we must admit our inherent uncertainty (and thus precariousness) of our lives, we cannot let ourselves be overcome by this so much as to be rendered incapacitated.
