Norms [Draft]

Norms (the customs and culture of a group) are essentially the observable signs of how a group sees fit and chooses to live their lives (or their collective life).  Deviations from these norms indicate a lack of consensus on what to do (the good).  Since the group needs to maintain cohesion in order to be effective in achieving its ends, deviations from the norm are generally not accepted.  Norms are the most basic form of rules (which are in turn the most basic forms of laws).
